Typical Dvla by sounds of it. Same info, one person says yes, one says no. If you get a jobsworth its a struggle.

Done cc/fuel swap twice from diesel to petrol. First time 4 months of pain to and fro via letter (as back in the day)and eventually got a contact in the dvla who had common sense who sorted it.

2nd time on my kangoo 5 years ago it went straight through, logbook back within a week. Somebody else used basically the same letter as me and had weeks of pain until they got it right. A few computer says no types at dvla for sure.

I sent mine off 2 weeks ago, nothing back yet. Guessing I should not get my hopes up based on the above!

the first time i did it it was 2004. I had a 1973 saab 96 V4 (NDL170M from memory) pre GDPR i got the lot including the names and addresses. I just stated i wanted to look into its history.

Isle of wight to devon via london and the home counties. Its life in london had some very interesting names and addresses from the 70 and 80s. Added a lot of flavour and interest to the rusty old saab i was pottering about in.
