Ever since I saw a tiny photo of 1 in a magazine twenty five years ago I've been gathering stories about and trying to find the whereabouts of  the ill fated Shamrocks,  this one has been sat in a shed not 30 minutes from my house for the past 30 years and I only found out where it was today, it's for sale too,  it's way worse than it looks, loads of bits missing or broken. Off course it's dangerously affordable but it would just sit in my shed until I pop me clogs or more likely a divorce 😁

I'll make do with the original sales leaflet I have

Maybe 10 were made in 1960 in Castleblayney Co Monaghan in Ireland for the US market, 17 feet long with a 53bhp Austin A55 engine, it was unsurprisingly a sales disaster with only 4 selling in the US in 1960, the remaining stock sold here in about 1964 after liquidation,  all 10 cars survive  along with a few unfinished shells

That's screaming out for a restomod style conversion, modern running gear and you're away.

In the words of Mrs Doyle 'Go on, go on.....' 😁

I remember regularly seeing one at car shows like Kilbroney in the north in my youth (this would have been in the '90s).

I was always fascinated by the shonky quality of the fibreglass, the flanks were really wavy. What was the windscreen out of?

You should absolutely buy it.

Get an XUD in there and wind the pump up, a couple of headlights and a roadster style windscreen and you're away.

That'd be the car from Drogheda that was on Top Gear. I think the screen is from a Vauxhall Cresta  PA but turned upside down. The rear lights are from a PA.

Just going for a look at it brought a very frosty reception from Mrs 850 🫣
