Does anyone know if these hateful shitboxes have electric power steering? I can't find a PAS reservior!

Cheers, Station. From under the bonnet I can't even see the column on this fucking heap. Would the motor be inside the car, under the dash maybe?

From what I've seen, the motor is always mounted on the column, it's just the way they work. Can you peer under the dash at all? I have a Hayne's manual for this car somewhere.

Yes. Electric PAS.

Just checked the manual - it's from a 2002 though.

They did have PAS with a pump located above the alternator. The reservoir is allegedly mounted on the radiator!

Thanks, guys! It is EPAS, had a shufti under the dash. This is the first of the fat-arse Scenics. It's my sisters car, and I was giving it the once-over as they are going on holiday shortly. What a badly designed heap of scrap. Not that it really matters, but Renault have even put in the EOBD connector in upside down.
