Mx5 rescue PART 2

Good evening, everyone! I just wanted to give you all an update on my project.

 

Today, I prepped the engine bay and cleaned off all the oil and grime from the subframe. I also applied rust converter to the engine bay and frame rails—though I'm not entirely sure if it’s just a gimmick. The chassis rails aren't looking too bad, so I think I’ll save that job for later, hoping the rust converter will delay the rot for a bit longer.

 

After that, I gave the car a wash, and I have to say, the paint looks amazing for being 22 years old! However, I still need a wing and a door in the same green—if I’m not mistaken, it’s British Racing Green? 

 

I could also use some help fixing the antenna. Isn’t it supposed to retract by itself? Is there a fuse for the motor, or a way to check if the motor is working? 

 

Lastly, I’d love to find a hardtop for it, so if anyone is selling one, please let me know. @gm i promise the MX-5 will live on! I will keep my word and restore it back to its former glory.

that looks like a fixed antenna, there will be a pair of flats on the base where you can unscrew it manually. I don't listen to the radio so have mine permanently removed. 

I would say your paint is emerald green but check the door sticker for the code

 The factory sticker on driver door sill is still brand new i was looking at it today! I will check paint code Monday

Looking at the photos you posted previously of the car it looks like it doesn't have a antenna.
