Knebworth Car Show..but crap photos....

As I hadn't been to any car shows so far this year, I thought I'd better drag myself along to Knebworth Fathers Day Classic Car Show on Sunday.

 

Decided to take the Tagora GL cos the red SX is currently at the MOT station awaiting starter motor and brake master cylinder ( I tell you that car is a DRAIN on my finances! ) and the 1100 is also temporarily out of action.

 

Took a few piccies of the cars I liked, so no Stags or MGBs I'm afraid!

 

 

Rather nice Cortina MkV in Crystal Green I believe.

 

 

 

Lovely 70's Beemer! Drat! How did that Stag get there?

 

 

Seen this Rapier a few times now....really lovely..would love to own one...

 

 

Always had a soft spot for a PB Cresta...always overshadowed by the PAs

 

 

Lovely immaculate Zephyr in fetching two-tone...

 

 

Slightly scabby Daimler Dart, but made a change from the usual over-restored minters.....slightly pisses me off when people think that the public are wanting to pay £8 entrance fee to see an R plate Alfa and Rover 200 cabrio that they could see for nowt every day in a Lidl car park....

 

 

I do like a nice Bobby Basic..here in Escort Mk1 form......

 

 

Mint Victor FE with old biddy sitting on 70s floral chair eating 70s -style ham salad...just like being in a time-warp!

 

 

Two STUNNING Mk1 Capris...I just don't know how people can get a car to look so pristine. Everything gleamed as if brand new! I would be frightened to use it!!

 

 

I think this was my favourite of the show...lovely Reynard Metallic and out the box!!

 

 

Normally a Beetle wouldn't hold my interest for that long, but this was a beauty......4 year restoration and absolutely as new!!!

 

 

I do like a big Japanesey....shame about the Halfords alloys...I'm sure the original chrome hubcaps would have been very stylish anyway!!

 

 

Another minter...I do like looking at pristine cars because I like to imagine I'm in the showroom when they were new 50 odd years ago!! Bit sad really.....

 

 

Couldn't resist a bit of beige Uber-shite.......

 

 

Have never posted any pics of the Tagora myself although I know it has snuck on here a couple of times.....

 

 

Have tried to capture how paper-thin the seat material is on these! This type of upholstery was deleted after just a few months for one much more hard wearing...not sure how this has managed to survive so well really.....I never wear jeans with rivets in just in case....

When click the "all sizes" on flickr you get a choice of sizes.

Medium is bigger than those and large is just a little bigger than is ideal.
