These days, 'eight tracks or fewer' is the answer private railway bosses give to the question 'what are you not competent to manage?'.  

I take your point, but they were known as cartridges. Thinking about it now, 'compact' is probable not a comparator to previous tapes but just a reference to the size.

My van has an actual song written about it.  I take it to the levy and listen to it there.

I've no idea why, but when I saw the title of this thread my mind immediately locked onto the theme tune from Roobarb and Custard. It's got fuck all to do with an old Honda that I can see but who am I to question my own brain?
