1stly, The 635 CSi. I'd break for about £1500 without reaching a sweat, but I don't want to break it. It's too good to break, but as is always the way, it's not worth as much as a complete car. Strange the way that happens isn't it?

Approx 105k miles (last MOT was at 99k, which is current odo reading). No MOT, no Tax. If I MOT it, the price is £1500ish.

Engine is sweet as a nut, but as I've not changed the oil or serviced it I don't want to run it for too long at the moment. I'll possibly change the oil and filter tomorrow and give it a good coat of looking at. It pulls well and is very smooth and responsive. Feels faster than the 3.5 SD1, so it can't be bad. I've not given it any stick, obviously, but that's the feeling it gives. Exhaust is ok, not blowing, could probably do it a bit of preventative work before it deteriorates. Gearbox feels fine, clutch is fine, brake pads need changing and the discs cleaning up but they look fine. Steering is blob on, suspension feels nice and tight, a clunk from around the n/s/r suggests either the exhaust is hitting the floor occasionally or there's a bush needs doing. Diff is quiet and I think it's got an LSD. All electrics bar the central locking and speedo work fine (that'll be the diff sensor wire). I've not checked the electric aerial as there's no radio fitted. (I'll throw in an old Radiomobile tape deck (with aux input if any of you want it..). Electric windows, sunroof and mirrors work.

Front wings aren't perfect, but the arch is there on both sides, the other bits probably won't be that bad to cut out and replace. Wings bolt on. Might need a bit of mig-lovin' around the back of the inner wing on the n/s but I'm not sure yet, not a hard bit to fix. N/S/R wheelarch needs a couple of small repairs. Arch itself is sound, but the moisture trap at the rear has taken a bit of stick. Front edge of the drivers door (by the door mirror) has a hole. Rest of door is mint, passengers door is like new. Front bumper is rusty on n/s corner, but it's straight otherwise with good chrome. Rear bumper is good but not perfectly straight. £450 worth of welding done not that long ago. Rear half of bodywork has faded to orange. All panels appear to be original and straight, but it looks to me like the back half has been painted at some time in the distant past, probably for

cosmetic purposes.

Interior is black leather Recaro. Seats are in very, very good condition, other than a bit of split piping on the drivers outer bolster, they're mint. Carpets are all good, dash is good, wheel is good, door cards etc are good. Rear head pods (Don't know what you're meant to call them) are warped and need gluing down or something. First aid kit is complete, boot is pretty clean and complete, trim wise, headlining is slightly grubby but otherwise ok.

E34 BBS 15" alloys. with E28 spare. 3 tyres are illegal.

Service history and all old MOTs bar 1989.

Have just put the 635 on there now.

I'd gamble £30 on an MOT test out of curiosity. You never know....

Tyres, possible brake pads, exhaust rubber, possibly a plate somewhere. Needs a service and oil change.

The ad under yours in Prickheads was for a similar car but tattier and he wanted £2k! Doubt he got it though.

There are non-runners on ebay at £750 with a day to go... without the Recaros...

The 3.5 is staying. Got to prioritise. I'm knee deep is cars that are all worth spending time and money on. They've all got loads of potential, but I don't have the time or space for them all, and the Escort has to be next.

Hence the clear out, Before I buy anything else...

Was the work commissioned by the previous playboy owner?

On the 4.2? It was all paid for by Bobby Buchanan-Michaelson. Google him.
