bigstraight6 Posted June 11, 2010 Posted June 11, 2010 Just got back from a week in Turkey and thought I'd share some of my holiday snaps, unfortunately Mrs straight6 wouldn't let me hire a scooter to go out 'shite seeing' only being there for a week, so I had to spend all my time at our Hotel which unfortunately had a large number of Russians in residence, who are certainly the most charmless and ill mannered people I've ever met still back to the pics, all these taken within a few hundred yards of the Hotel....First up a local treasure, Anodol pickup!Plenty of this sort of stuff about! These are everywhere!Peugeot with balls!Another local delicacy for Lorry lovers, this Turkish 'BMC' has the Leyland 'G' series cab as fitted to Terriers/Boxers/Clydesdales/Reivers, it also sounded very much like it had a Leyland 400 series diesel powering it has it blasted along the road!Tidy (unusual for Turkey!) Renner 9....Anodol saloon from the transfer coach....I havn't seen so many MK5 Cortina's on the road since the 80's! this one didn't look too bad....Ah, maybe not!
RedSparrow Posted June 11, 2010 Posted June 11, 2010 Gah! Super shite there. I wasn't aware of that shape Anadol, I thought they all looked like Rebels. Thanks for sharing.
trigger Posted June 11, 2010 Posted June 11, 2010 I love holiday photos, It doesn't look much different to when i went to Turkey 8 years ago, Those Renault 12 Estate things were everywhere as was those autopisa bus things. You'd be going up a hill, behind a autopisa bus full of people that's being overtaken by a lorry that's being overtaken by a taxi driver in a R12 Estate, all on a blind sharp bend! Scary stuff.
Jack_Harpers_Teeth Posted June 11, 2010 Posted June 11, 2010 My sort of holiday! Better than those snaps I have of Brian & Kaye from Wolverhampton that I have . Thanks for sharing them.
