Car.Tool UIO Tech OBD2 code reader for VAG (VW, Audi, Seat, Skoda) models. Plugs into the 16-pin OBD2 socket and reads/clears codes for the engine, automatic transmission, ABS and SRS (airbag) computer systems. Ideal for clearing annoying engine management lights!

Dead simple to use, comes with the book explaining what each four-digit fault code means (and there's plenty of internet sites out there to convert these codes to the proper P***** OBD2 or VAG-COM equivalents).

Manual seems to indicate that it applies to cars from 1996 onwards but EU law (I'm quoting from a recent issue of Car Mechanics here) only mandated OBD2 sockets for petrol cars from MY2001 and MY2004 for diesels.

I've had it for about four years and it has as worked perfectly with the two 2001/51 Skoda Fabias we've had in the family, however as it only works on VAG cars I've bought a universal OBD2 reader to suit my Toyota.

£10 delivered sound good? PM me for more details.

That’s looking like an old skool HP Laserjet 4 your code reader is sitting on in the photo. They’re superb! Left to its own devices it’ll happily carry on printing until the sun runs out of hydrogen. Perfect choice for the shiteist :D

Uh-huh. Freebie about 10 years ago from my mate Fat Bob following a University of Reading Chemistry department IT clearout  Just feed it new toner cartridges every three or four years and it keeps plodding along, truly the Merc W123 of printers!
