Family-shite

It appears that in our family it is my job to keep other family members mobile with my powers of being able to track dowm various shitemobiles at good money.

Hence my mother's current steed is this K11 Micra

which followed another K11 that the nephew wrote off for her

That car had replaced a Panda (her 4th one) but alas no photos.

That last Panda was bought when a really tidy Micra K10 I'd found her was run into parked outside her house by a born-again biker

The biker survived but later tried to sue my mother for £5000 for parking too close to a junction (Knob!!!) Funny thing is she's been driving for nearly 20 years, has always parked there and no other idiot has managed to hit her car !!!!

My sister now has this 46,000m K10 Micra

after having two joyriders wreck the last one

Over the years I've managed to keep her going in an amazing range of nearly-end-of-life vehicles, most of them not photographed though :(:(

Sounds like my mums, she has/had a K11 Micra. I'm currently keeping it parked under cover in a mates garage.

What a tosser. Why can't people just admit they made a colossal error - made themselves look like a prize pillock - and move on, without having to fuck up someone else's life even more than they already have?

what happened to his attempt to sue? I presume it was like when you blow a baloon ahlf-up then let it go in the living room, it makes a bit of noise and razzes around then drops to the floor with a half-arsed raspberry noise much to everyones amusement.

Long story made short, he sued after we had the audacity to ask for £500 to pay for the Fiat Panda replacement through the small claims court because we were having no joy with his insurance company after 3 months. We didn't seek anything towards the inconvenience my mother was put through or the costs involved in disposing of a rather knackered Micra. I didn't even charge him for being first on the scene, making sure his airways were clear and looking after him till the paramedic arrived. It transpired later that his father had died that morning so I don't think his mind was fully on the job of piloting a motorcycle. With all this put across to him diplomatically a cheque arrived from his insurance within 2 weeks

I love K11 Micras. My first car was an L reg one and it was remarkably tough. The rust proofing/paint finish on them is pretty damn good too.

The green one that got written off had 166,000 miles on it on a P plate with the 1 litre engine. We were given it but it needed a new clutch and a front crossmember. IIRC for about £300 all in we were on the road.
