bangernomics Posted March 8 Author Posted March 8 Well the volvo has been stolen.By the step daughter thankfully and not some scrote. The reason, her 17 plate cashcow is leaking via the nsr roof rail mount. The son in law idiot has smothered it in ct1 and made a right flipping mess. So in the daylight now my latest bodge a thon is almost done I will pull it apart and have a looky.Anyway new loo cupboard complete with 1970’s cladding. Its very very pink. Looks like karmann rot to my eye which makes it betterer. Paper and some small shelf and calling it done. Bear 1

bangernomics Posted March 10 Author Posted March 10 Finished papering. Also picked up a lid off a smashed up piano off a neighbours driveway. Womble mode engaged to make some shelves. Think it worked well. vaughant, GeorgeB, warninglight and 3 others 6
bangernomics Posted March 10 Author Posted March 10 And fixed the qashqai too.The nuts had fallen into the roofliner. An hour removing the comedy sealant the idiot had poured on and then two blobs and bolted back up. Worst part was getting the CT on my hands like an idiot.Remember to wear gloves etc. mk2_craig and GeorgeB 2

bangernomics Posted March 11 Author Posted March 11 Volvo/peugeot engine question. At idle and low revs theres a bit of (beyond diesel) clatter which goes away if you up the revs.I know this has very recently been serviced but I feel compelled to do the oil and filter to see if its a lifter etc, are they hydraulic on the povvo 1.6d? Also ordered an aux belt, should I do the idler/tensioner at the same time? Could the belt, advised on last service cause a bit of noise. Other than the idle rattle its actually a lovely thing to cruise about it.Still need to pull porsche door apart to fix the handle. Great.
