Chancer Cabs.....goodbye LTI, hello new modern

Been a long day. Second train delayed, got to garage eventually, cab needed tyres, 2 hour wait until it was ready....anyway, cab collected and we made haste to get it back up the road. Well happy with the purchase. @warren t claim yes it is an Allied Procab, knew I would have one at some point. Looks to be a good one as well. More pics to follow, I'm having a well earned beer

I have so many questions.

A mate in the pub has just bought a Transit minibus similar to that but on a 14 plate, 300k on the clock, was having a look at it as the ABS is playing up. He reckoned it was a Torneo but I’m thinking it’s a Procab, how do you tell the difference? It’s got SF Cab Direct Plates on if that helps.

Procab was brought out in 2017. It has M1 type approval as a proper Hackney carriage (apparently). Allied have been converting vans for years as taxis, wheelchair accessible vehicles and minibuses. Your mates will be a Tourneo, 3 rows of forward facing seats. the Procab has the partition behind driver, with 3 rear facing and 3 forward facing seats

6 speed manual, the other procab needed a new autobox at 100k 😡. And yes it needs adblue, all the euro 6 ones do

Taxi graphics and license sign writing done. All it needs now is a slot for inspection and its good to go
