That Landcrab is a regular on the club's stands at the shows. It is stunning.

Nah, they had 13", 4-stud pressed steel jobbies, those look like period Dunlop or Avon alloys to me, in the same, 14" size as the factory steels would have been.

Bah.I'm now thinking they're from some '60s / '70s Lotus.

That Datto is amazing, gotta be one of my favourite big saloons of ever. The Autoshite-spec Sportshatch is pretty nice too. And everything else. Yup, i'd happily tool about in any ofthose motors.

You've got to admit, they're very similar. What's the PCD of a Landcrab then, 5 x 4.5"? I know a lot of the smaller Brit Tin is 4 x 4.5".

No - they're the same ones as on that Landcrab. I can't find out any more though.

Actually, as lovely as that Landcrab is, does anybody else think that the burgundy one next to it looks like it is probably a nicer example? The brown vinyl roof & paintjob make the one in the foreground look like a Maxi 2.

The brown one has been ruined with a sunroof and other tat. Only good for spares, if there are any parts left that the owner hasn't buggered around with.

I'm pretty certain those alloys are made by Dunlop, and are just a bigger version of the classic D40, with more vanes as there are 5 studs rather than the usual four. They may even be called D40's. I'm fairly sure that they were available through Leyland ST dealers in the 70's.
