I wouldn't normally put this on here, but I need to sell it fairly quickly so I hope you don't mind!

1995 Ford Transit 100 SWB Semi high top

Mileage: 173000

Tax: April 2010

MOT: August 2010

Location: Brighton

Price: £500

It's time to sell my trusty Transit...

It's taxed til the end of March and MOTd until August.

I bought it in December 2008 at 168k and it's now on 173k. It's never let me down or been any trouble at all.

I'm selling because I can't afford to run two vehicles, and I've decided to get a car instead.

I paid about £800 when I bought it, and spent over £250 on the MOT, it needed 2 patches of welding (which were done to a high standard) and a long metal brake pipe. Plus some little bits like wiper blades etc.

The main fault I can think of is that there's a bit of a problem when filling the fuel tank. It'll go in but YERY slowly. It's been like this since I got it, there seems to be some sort of obstruction in the filler neck. The original fuel cap's missing too (it has a temporary one at the moment) so I reckon somebody might have tried to pinch the diesel at some point. It's still useable like this (it's never bothered me that much) but it does take ages to fill and it's pretty annoying.

Otherwise, the blower's don't work. The dashboard knob is actually missing, but that's not the cause. I've checked the fuse and that's about the limit of my electrical expertise. It might be the motor but again, it's been like that since I got it and it's not been much of an inconvenience.

Other things I can think of... needs a new washer switch (The one on the stalk didn't work so a crude dashboard mounted toggle switch was rigged up for MOT purposes. I knocked that off last weekend by hitting it with my foot while climbing from the back of the van into the driver's seat ), there's a few strange small but deep scrapes on the driver's side which appeared while parked in Brighton, some rust at the bottom of the NSF wing (not too bad at the moment though) and a small hole on the passenger door under the divider thing between the main glass and quarterlight.

Oh, and the locks on the back door and sliding door don't work. I open the sliding door by reaching around (It'll lock with the key but not unlock) but the back doors are secured by a bolt on the inside. This works fine but can be annoying if you're leaving it unattended with the back full.

I think I'm making it sound a lot worse than it is, it does have some annoying (but quite minor) faults but in general it's a very good van, it's much less rusty than most of it's age (and some much newer) and it's been great in the time I've had it.

There's 2 pairs of seats with belts in the back at the moment which I could leave in if required. There's also some of the last owner's signwriting, I've removed most of it already though and it's not that hard to get off.

If you have any questions, I'll be happy to answer them if you contact me on 07722 098982. I don't have the internet at home at the moment so I might not reply if you contact me on here.

Thanks.

Seems a very fair price, specially with T&T. Good luck with it.
