I'm going

My 604 has to get from Ruislip where I live to Hatfield where I work, and then from Hatfield to the Ace Cafe.

Assuming that neither my shite car or my shite left knee peg out; I'll be there!

I don't want to be the only one there with a shite car.

This is not the conversion I want to be having tomorrow

Unfortunately there's a strange man from up north coming to buy my Saaaaab tomorrow. Maybe next month.

I will bring my Land Rover, it smells delightful at the moment and hasn't had a wash since last summer. If it isn't raining I may remove the cab to blend in with the c#####c boys! Oh 90 miles down the A1 from here.

I will be there as mentioned before, either in the rather tired looking (but quick!) blue Herald or in the low Hillman Estate. Chances are PaulH, once of this parish, will also be there in a tired looking Amazon estate. Its not all shiny polished cars

Fred, I'm sure if you came in a MK1 you'd be in. Difficult to say really as it partly depends which marshal is on the gate and how busy it is. There's usually plenty of space on the pavement opposite at this time of year and quite a few cars that would definitely "qualify" end up there.

Bah. Mk1s are in storage and I don't have time to dig em out. I seem to remember having a glower at one of the marshals after going in the Mk1 amby for OSF once, nearly didn't get in then! I might just come in me Mk2 and park on the road, the Ace is only 10 mins form me.

I was there, then I wasn't! Duty called, as it turned out up the road was a shoot with a crew I had worked with before, and in front of the camera was a 1975 Dodge black & white yank cop car, that had been sent out by some other agent solo (without support) and it promptly wouldn't start.....Sorry if I was preoccupied.

You're not missing much sadly. My favourite photographer before it turned into a strangely sized lifestyle mag (VW Golf = FTW) was Herbie Knott.
