Reliant Rebel estate project

due to a recent change in circiumstances (all my friends and family are sick of my cars being in the way an i have too many to keep on top of!) and seeing a new toy that i would have to raise funds for i am offering some of my vehicles for sale.i have a white 1972 Rebel 700 estate (the four wheeled version of the Regal) that i bought locally last year with the intention of restoring, it has been off the road stored in a garage since the mid 80's, we have had the engine running (by feeding petrol into the carb due to possible fuel pump fault). the car rolls an steers freely and the handbrake works, foot brake is stuck solid.the drivers door will require refitting after a bit of bodywork( the door was severed from the car during its time off the road but is temporarily in place an taped up) other than that the bodywork is in good order.there is 3 boxes full of various spares for the car and a spare 850cc engine and gearbox. havent had chance to do anything with the car other than an oil change an fit a battery an run the engine a bit an now my gran wants her back garden back! so she is for sale (the car not the gran!):D a great project for someone with the space an time to get on with it and a rare car when done!i will try and add some pictures soon but in the meantime anyone interested is welcome to come and have a look at the car for themselves.im not dead set on a price because im not sure what its worth(too rare to feature in the price guide!)so im open to offers, thanks for reading Joe

i would like to put up pictures of the full fleet but cant find my digital camera :( as for a price on the rebel, does anyone know what they are worth?

/\ WHS. OK, probably a bit more than £10, but Rebels have never made a great deal of money for some reason - probably because they're off most people's radars. Which is a shame, because they're a right giggle to drive on the right road, especially with an 848cc engine.

On a serious note I would imagine that you'd struggle to get over £100 for a Rebel in the condition you describe unless you find someone in the market one, either way I'd join the Reliant forum and bung it on there with some photos! I'd have one in an instant if it were close to being road worthy...as Wuvvum says, a cracking car IMHO
