Any one got any experience of them ? I've got a freebie one to look at tomorrow and just wondered if the AS hive intellect could help out with specific advice....

Yeah, but as I have projects coming out of my ears, I don't want to take it on if its gonna take to much time, hence the question....if it's too much for me I'll leave it for someone elses to benifit from..

Other than the usual, nothing they`re really known for going on, pretty tough things. You do hear of high mileage Colts/Galants eating their gearboxes, but not often. These are nice well engineered cars, there`s some real build quality there, pretty rapid even in 1.3 form. I know an old boy with a T-reg one, every now and then he gets me to run it somewhere for something trivial doing, and I`m always amazed at how good it feels for a 100,000 mile 10 year old hatch, and it was the same with the `91 Colt he had before it. Put it this way, I would defiantely investigate a free one, chances are it`ll be extremely viable.

had a good look over it this afternoon and its rock solid underneath.....dont' think it will need any welding, engines sweet as well.

Bad points.... think there might be a ball joint away at the front and the washers don't work...anyone know where the fuse is? its not in the fusebox judging by the symbols

Otherwise it's a very pleasent nippy (no pun intended) drive...I'm even pleased to say that there is Tax and MOT until the end of the month :D:D

Nice find there. All that needs is a damn good whack with the powerhose. Get the wheels off and get under those arches.

Love the freebieness of it but not so keen on that shocking filler repair on the rear 1/4!.Mind you a days cleaning and T-cutting and a better bodge on the rear 1/4 will make it much nicer.

I wonder how many Tipp-Ex bottles went into perfecting that touch up!?

not to bad atall  you just canny beat a bit off poor bodge work just pure class that  the last time i saw a repair like that it had been painted in the wrong shade with dulux and you could see the sanding marks quite clearly through the wafer thin paintjob.some people think bodywork is easy peasy

At least it`s white, the most untricky colour to blend an aerosol job in with. Overall looks like a good day`s shootin`.
