Fuel tank

I seem to remember Mr_Bo1 saying these tanks were hard to get. I think Nigel's idea of putting a smaller tank in and using the original as a sort-of "cradle" is a pretty good one.

If I can't get a replacement I'll try a repair.Certainly the idea of using the original as a holder is a good idea.

Sat in a field outside Birmingham for 15 years, I believe.

I have to say that's a pretty poorly finished limo conversion. That rearmost side window looks pretty shoddy mounted in a rubber like that and it wouldn't have been any effort to square off the corner of the door.

1.2/10 for effort.

I assume they are all the same?

Will check Rootes photos again for the Six he found.

Edit: Yep: same door finish. :(

Be good to delete the rear door section completely and make a 2-door crab koop! Although the high roof would admittedly make it look ridiculous.

Anyone any good with Photoshop? :)Now it's been pointed out they don't look too cleaver, but I couldn't see myself making one. I still wouldn't mind one in my collection.

Do any nice crab limos exist or are they all as rusty as these?Just noticed the ebay one has a tyre gaitor fitted to the O/S front wheel. GR9 4 HIGH KERBS AT DA CREM.

I am so tempted by that. Fix it up underneath, badly of course, and roll into work with the bodywork as it is :D
