I'm sitting bored in the office and thought I'd set you shite car experts a little challenge.

What's this fine looking beast of a car?

First person with the right answer can make his (hers?) way to my office and I'll make them a cuppa.

It's 100% grade A shite what ever it is!, It reminds me of a really badly made Peugeot 104.

I don't know why, but I'm thinking Citroen. Maybe it's the rear lights remind me of a Dyane.Way far off the mark I suspect tho....

Ok, it's eastern European, various prototypes were made before the spec was agreed and the car was about to go into full production before the manufacturer bought rights to produce Fiat 126s under licence. A number of these cars still exist and I have seen one on the road, but obviously not in this country.

Lovely looking early 126:

Is it the prototype for the FSO Polonez? (I recognise those indicators...)

Not far off!

Citroen LNA:

The mystery car pre-dates the Citroen by over 10 years!

Hmm, the front wings look like they're from a Wartburg. But I'm going to say... Zastava?

WOW. I have no idea what it is, but it is obscenely shite-looking. 8)

Yugo?

Is it an Oltcit of some description? I think they were an East european company who built cars under licence from Citroen. :?

Wild guess - Eastern European temperate zone - not Russian (garage doors in background too nice) - gonna guess at FSM (previous version of FSO)

Nope, not a Zastava.

Massive clue - the mystery car was going to be a direct replacement for a slightly later version of this car (which didn't have suicide doors):

Oltcit were Romanian built designs based on Citroens. Good guess boobydoo but no cigar.

FSM did not pre-date FSO.FSM = Factory of Small CarsFSO = Factory of Passenger CarsYes, the mystery car is an FSO, but which one?

FSO Syrena 110. Do I win A prize?

Posted Image

Correct. Come over to Maidenhead and I'll make you a cuppa.

I thought Syrena as well but had never heard or seen this particular one before. That's another oddity to add to my brainbase. Any more?

AAARRRGGHHHH!!!!I am such a terrible loser. I am off to smash something of value.

Any more?

Same manufacturer, 20 years later, very nearly built this:

What is it?

OK, what's this interesting little number then?

I give up. I've spent the last 40 minutes looking at Google images searching for OSCA, Bertone (badge on the rear panel?), Fiat.... with no joy.

Any clues?

Would that later FSO be a follow up to the Ogar?I love the Ogar.Actually, I'll change my mind. It is a WARS 1.3S. Lapsang Oolong pleaseEdit: How many people will believe I got that before reading your other thread??!!
