Maybe Munich, but certainly isn't 1935!

Looks early 1950s going by the pre-1956 German number plates.  The hubcabs look suspiciously like VW Beetle ones, so maybe someone fitted a custom body onto a Beetle Chassis, there were quite a few one-offs even that early!

Looking at the bonnet line and rear overhang as well, quite possibly Beetle based.  Quarter windows also look familiar.

I can never remember my own registration numbers but do remember my dad's 1100, first one in the town as he worked for the dealer, 302 CVN.  Appropriate as he went to work for the MOD at Fylingdales BMEWS in 302 building.

(Note the US spec side markers but paired with the European swivel headlights. A lot of SMs made for the USDM were sold in Japan all the way from 1973 onwards I believe, due to stricter US regulations coming into force that essentially banned new cars with adjustable ride heights. Instead of scrapping the incoming shipments for the US, the cars were diverted to the Japanese market. They were difficult to sell and a lot of 1973 USDM model SMs were still being offered in the Japanese Citroën model range in 1978, three years after production ended! I have a copy of Car Graphics magazine featuring the SM road test.)
