Quick heads up as May will be upon us soon.I usually organise this on Retro-Rides and I think it's fair to say it's always a popular event and those of us who have been have really enjoyed it.We've had a right mixed bag of motors on 'our' area in the past including two V8 Firenzas, VW camper, Merc, Jags, VWs, J-tin, some Yank stuff and plenty more. There are NO gleaming MGs/rows of highly polised 'used once a year' classics on our area, the theme is just bring what you've got no matter what is is (has to be pre-1991 though) and just chill out, mix in and have a laugh. If anyone fancies it it's normally only about £3.00 per ticket (cheaper than paying to get in as a spectator), you can get a plaque at the end if you're bothered and we usually have about 15 or so of us there.Absolutely loads of cool cars around the place, a nice backdrop (castle and scenery), autojumble, food etc the works. The compere is something of a complete knob and Wat and I had considered pulling the lead to his microphone so we didn't have to endure his epic bullshit and snivelling but it won't spoil your day if the odious tit does keep rattling on.It's in Cheshire, not too far from Chester and also Whitchurch in Shropshire. Access from M6 not too bad, ditto M56, M53, A55, A5 and A483.If anyone's interested put your name down on this thread please and I'll make enquiries about firm date and numbers. Tickets can be sent out or collected on the day but much prefer to send them out as it's tricky meeting people at the gate due to the size of the place.

I'm already booked for both Cholmondeley Castle events, but if you want to have a cuppa I'll be in the 80s section with the Saab.

Billy, you know I want in on this HOT GROUP ACTION!!Its been a real laugh both times we've been, and hopefully this year will be no different.Im not sure if we'll be in the ol' blue or the BMW, if I can find a car trailer I'll bring both

Wahey! Look forward to seeing you and your young lady again mucker. Your Escort always attracts good attention and rightly so.What's this BMW you speak of chief?

Yeah, I was saying to Janie only the other day how Im looking forward to this. Its been a great start to the season for the past couple of years 8) Ze Bimmer of which I speak, is a 320iA touring that I bought last week in an effort to give the escort an easier life. Although it seems Ive managed to buy the least economical bmw on sale bar a V12 of some description. At least its comfy eh?:lol:
