I knew somebody on here would know, that was quick! It's another 'What's this?' thread on another forum I lurk on, nobody seems to know....

No, I wanted to know what it was too, and I don't post on there so no I don't look clever on your behalf! :DAnyway, got a PM back from the poster (she's Eastern European living here)

It's weird how every country reads it differently :lol: Still - the logo is Volga

I really like the UAZ-452. I like to think of it as the rock-hard Russian cousin of the Commer van.

That would beat up an imperialist Jeep CJ5 in a fight behind a dodgy roadside bar?

Hopefully assisted by a drink-crazed Austin Champ. According to Wiki, the UAZ shares the same engine as the M21 Volga. So there's a useful fact to know

Looks like Tayne was right! Sorry about the huge pic, I can't edit it.

I have just been pointed it UAZ direction. Looks like the owner of that truck doesn't even know what it is  But looking at it it does seem right, not GAZ, but UAZ (which still could be the same thing though  ). EDIT: it is the same. UAZ plant was just moved GAZ plant, they both produced AA trucks under Ford deal. There we go, one learns something new ever day

Here's period picture

They are ace, there was one on the TV series when Ewan McGregor and Charlie Boorman went through Russia a few years ago

Yes it is, but not too sure where it is, I think it's 'at home'. I can find out.

It's not in the uk, but it is for sale :D It also has full MOT on it, so it is drive-away I guess :?

Nadjenka's signed up, so just waiting for confirmation, hint hint
