SiC Posted December 24, 2023 Posted December 24, 2023 I think those APIs only give what you get on the DVLA website. Ukvehicledata I have found to mismatch against other paid sources from experience. You can use their free API for upto two searches a month without auth which is how I know.

If you want to give it a go though you should be able to get an API key, I posted the link above. Thanks, Dave. Appreciate the info. I’ll have a go should people want an easy way to access. Plus it brushes up on some skills that are relatively rusty. 51 minutes ago, beko1987 said: Looks like there is an Api you can register for, no mention of cost though https://developer-portal.driver-vehicle-licensing.api.gov.uk/apis/vehicle-enquiry-service/vehicle-enquiry-service-description.html Seems Alteryx can be made to play with it, might have a tinker next year, see if it still works https://community.alteryx.com/t5/Alteryx-Designer-Desktop-Discussions/DVLA-AIP/m-p/880063 You can also use Postman for calling the API easily, locally. I use PM professionally for running queries on APIs for our own software and others. loserone 1
Dave_Q Posted January 2, 2024 Posted January 2, 2024 Anyone done anything with this? I have signed up for a free trial of the API from UKVD, I'd like to try building a little website to do plate change checks for 49p or whatever but I've as much chance of building a JSON query as I have of beating Usain Bolt over 100m. Any good guides or suggestions of the simplest way to get something based on this up and running?
coachie Posted January 2, 2024 Posted January 2, 2024 The opieoils.co.uk desktop site still give some good technical details for recent cars. Here is my still yet (ever?) to be reregisted B'lingo WF02NNJ Dick Cheeseburger 1
