Or actually what hose? Picked this up at the NEC yesterday for a current project. Its a Rover Unipart bit but searching for the part number has failed to come up with anything. Anyone happen to recognise it?

It is roughly the shape of the Thames (if you snipped that sticky out bit).

THe sticky out bit would be the River Lea - the one they drag a body out of every couple of years, and which probably hides a rusting gangster's Jag or two.

It has an evil hose clip on. I have soooo much bloody trouble with those spring loaded ones. Trying to hold it so it is open and pull off the hose that has been on the car for 15 years at the same time causes me much grief. The lip has a little circle in which i assume is for a clip to hold it open, but i dont have one of those......Suppose i could make one but for some reason would rather stand there screaming at it for 20 mins rather than do something sensible.

I nearly almost recognised it. I think it's definitely a K-Series part, but I might be mistaken. One end goes to a plastic pipe underneath the inlet, the other goes elsewhere, maybe the bottom of the coolant tank. I've got the engine out for a rebuild and can take a photo if you want. It's located on the top right of the engine in the pic:

it used to be every couple of months, they must have found an alternative dumping ground.

The Olympics site might have restricted access to the Lea resulting in a drop in body numbers.Anyhow the part number is GRH1442. Its not exactly of vital importance, I was was just interested! Ta for help so far
