Good Lancashite reg plate as well. That's surely a big ol' Volvo to be proud of.I had an F plate 760 GLE for a while, one of the IRS ones, in funeral director dark grey with black leather. Ace car that. Absolutely mint it was, bought it for buttons off a mate who'd blown the autobox up, put a replacement box in it and used to screw it mercilessly from Liverpool to Newmarket and back 3 times a week. Mega comfy. Being the 2.85 PRV lump it wasn't very economical but splendid old lump otherwise.

Awesome! My brother had one of these about 3 years back, C-plate GLE in the same colour too - but it had stripey cloth rather than leather. Standard 5 speed rather than the 4+OD as well. Ended up being sold to some "crazee" charity rallyists as it was cheaper to buy a G-plater (with the leather and a proper overdrive 'box) than doing the work to get another ticket.Do a Google search for "replacing headliner", I found a useful US site that showed with pictures how to change one on a 740. IIRC, you don't need to remove the seats, just recline them as much as poss.
