okay in all honesty i got B,D,F,H... which is very disapointing.i thought I was a monteverdi at first but now i realise it's something completely different, american i think, it was on the cover of road and track magazine when it came out and they only made a tiny handful. it's times like this i wish i hadn't smoked so much weed. ho hum. the last one was on the tip of my tongue too, it's a licsense built alfa 1900 if you cant tell. good work MrSteve.

Have you got a link to the original for E on Flickr please? I'd be interested to see any comments about it on there.

Have a look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_1300 It had me scratching my head for a bit but noticed the Honda logo on the wheel centres. Thought Mazda at first.

That's well impressive, you got the FNM Onca which I thought was the hardest one. There is a sort of link between A & I, country-wise.Here'e the Honda link, no comments though.http://www.flickr.com/photos/michielver ... 234563952/

( only decent photos i could find online, bit crappy sorry)

44 built in saloon, van and convertible versions. none survive.

Last one is the Anziel Nova - based on the Turkish Otosan Anadol and intended to be the first car made in New Zealand.

Posted

Colour photo is of the Gutbrod Superior, back and whites are the Fairthorpe Atom and the Rodley. Great names. Probably shite cars..

He He...I can even name the chap standing next to this.

The Anziel Nova was backed by Allan Gibbs (NOT in the photo) who was/is behind the Gibbs Aquada. This project produced one car which still exists, I believe Gibbs recently purchased it for restoration.

Great quiz! I barely know any of them. Like the 'times crossword' but in car form.

looks annoyingly familiar, how about a pic of the front?

OK then, as it's you.

cripes that makes it even worse!i dont think i'll be able to guess, but i want one! what a weird mishmash of styling, i see bits of DKW monza around the headlights, e-type on the bumper/intake, alfa 2600 around the rear arches/windows...wow! i'm gonna take a punt and say its either german or south american, but they kinda look like rudge knock-offs in the second pic, surely it cant be british??

Posted

Is it some variant of the Mazda Cosmo sport? Though I know the back's wrong for the version I've seen....

Posted

anyone recognise this? Slight clue - it bears the name of a once well known grand prix driver.....
