Value this for me?

Or rather persuade me that I should chase this car.

I like omegas

I have a very high mile 231138 3.2 mv6.

It's not perfect but it works and it's quick.

Now there's a bloke who is getting rid if a 17k mile 2.5 CDX in burgundy. It's his mother's. She went into a home.

Pictures are amazing.

No MOT since September 2017

P399 EVP for the mot history before that.

It's done about 100 miles in the previous 4 years and since 2006 done 3000 miles in total.

So pros.

It's a new car.

Cons.

It will need 4 tyres, cam belt, service, a battery, and an MOT.  I figure £400 before I'd get to use it really.

It will only have 168 bhp

It would not have an obd2 socket (I think)

I'm in 2 minds to give a fuck. I can't really justify 2 omegas which are similar. Don't want to see the MV6 scrapped, but who would want it ?

I don't really think I'd keep it immaculate.

But I would keep it road worthy.

Probably press it into service and take it to 231000 miles. Which would take 10 years.

If it were a 3.0 I might feel differently. I feel the difference in power to weight ratio might be effecting my judgement.

Anyway what should I offer ? Should I offer at all? Can I be arsed? Why can't I be arsed?

I'd be interested in your MV6 (price dependant) but only short term, it would stay on here so to speak.

I don't find my 2.2 DTI slow, but I don't find it fast either. But it has done a smidge under 200k and wears the miles quite well. As I expect your current one does too.

Offer 200 quid if you want it. Or he can advertise it for a grand as a low mileage classic. The in 3 months come back to you and take 150 quid.

Or keep the MV6, if you think it will keep going
