Contact made and a Wednesday viewing arranged 👌

I've emptied it all out, reset the clock and put the head unit to the non demo mode and put the various bits of trim I've kept around the house for it in the boot! Fired it up and let it idle for a bit, it's so trustworthy and reliable, I'm still not sure I'm making the right choice but I've made it now 😂

Time to put the receipt for the wheel balancing in with the paperwork and add my last part to its extensive and full service history

The Xsara is sold! Off to live around Guildford, with a new P bush fitted

I'm glad I could save it from scrap, and now have the reality that I don't have a spare car for when the qq fucks up 😂😬

Marvellous! Think I’ve won some good big brother points, hopefully!

Hopefully! Has he made it home safely? I've not done the online keeper change yet until the taxed to get you home has been used 🤣

I hope he likes rock music too, or figured out the radio or bought his own music 🤣 He'll need to pair his phone to the headunit and probably clear the memory as it only holds 2 phones iirc. Then it has crystal clear handsfree audio and music streaming 👌

The dvla website is open once more and I've just done the v5.

I find it quite cool that the new owner has bought a car less than 2 years younger than he is 👌

I haven’t seen it yet but I can report it’s had a clay bar polish and wax!

Small update - front suspension parts replaced where needed, and it’s been plugging away the miles, trekking to Newcastle a few times already. Will get a photo of it next to my new luxobarge later

Awesome! Glad it's been repaired, it'd like the blast up and down, it always was amazing at motorway speeds!

I'd have last had the tracking done with the suspension probably starting to wear so mind the tyre wear (but their cheap tyres anyway so 🤷)

MOT next week. Continuing to be excellent and has just done the length of the M1 having sat for two months while my brothers been working overseas.

Awesome! It always was a reliable thing!

Got around the airbag light yet? Or is it off now?

That's what got it off last time.

I'd dropped the bsi down and removed it but couldn't really see much, and had removed the steering wheel airbag, and got angry with the looms behind the dash where I could grab them and one of those things (annoyingly I did everything at the same time with the battery off) got it off for a month, then it came back on again.

I dont think it's the silver box that sits under the centre console, I played with that in isolation and it didn't do it

Pass with no advisories!

Fantastic, that's great news! It really doesn't deserve to die from a wiring issue!

Here's to another year of decent motoring from it! Maybe look at/change the thermostat before winter though as it was bloody grim when very cold! I had many morning trips driving like a twat with the windows fogged up as it didn't warm up without bring driven several miles 😂
