Gompo Posted January 13, 2008 Author Posted January 13, 2008 Torsten - Both the Citroen and Merc were in Clapham, quite nearby.I want this:What an early one and so tidy. Datsun badge too for kudos. This was in Chelsea, lots of nice cars there as you'd expect - Vanquish, Gallardo Spyder, 911's and a few classics... Apart from the lovely Maserati Shamal I saw (one of my fave cars ever) I was most excited about the Datsun.
reallyloud Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 That Sunny is unbelieveably clean. Temptation to leave a contact number on there must be strong!
mk2_craig Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 Wow, don't see many of these any more. I bet it's the sloth-o-matic too. Willing to bet that if this one lasts much longer it'll become an RS turbo replica before you can say "crikey, haven't mk3 Escort prices gone silly of late"
Richard Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 Autotrader says it's a 1.6 auto. Only on its second owner too!
Guest Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 Is it just me, or is there strong traces of Isopon around the front valance of that Escort?
Gompo Posted February 9, 2008 Author Posted February 9, 2008 Time for a bit of an update, hope you find something interesting in this selection: Dont seem to see many Honda booted versions of these..http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y17/Gompo/Cars/DSC01047.jpghttp://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y17/Gompo/Cars/DSC01048.jpghttp://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y17/Gompo/Cars/DSC01049.jpghttp://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y17/Gompo/Cars/DSC01050.jpg Again not all shite, I have more but will leave it for now. Cheers.
babydriver Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 Wonder how much the wally plate is worth on the scort estate, love Aunty Rover too, looks a pampered beast to me.
pogweasel Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 I saw a MkIV estate with a good number today. 100 NOBTo make it even better, it was an ex-BT yellow job. The vehicle details for 100 NOB are:Date of Liability 01 06 2008Date of First Registration 13 12 1988Year of Manufacture 1988Cylinder Capacity (cc) 1753CCCO2 Emissions Not AvailableFuel Type Heavy OilExport Marker Not ApplicableVehicle Status Licence Not DueVehicle Colour YELLOWFor the h8rz. Would have got a pic, but was laden with shopping & had kids in tow.
mk2_craig Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 Great spots Gompo! Hasn't that Yugo lasted well!!
michiel Posted February 10, 2008 Posted February 10, 2008 Wow! Can't even pick a favourite, 100% good spots.
Gompo Posted March 9, 2008 Author Posted March 9, 2008 ..Another update. As always just a selection/not only shite. Havent been out as much as I should have but hopefully there'll be something to interest you, Dont think I've seen many LT50's before, atleast not this long.. Cheers for now. Greg.
pogweasel Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 Wow , that Transhit Camper is quite something. AS mobile command centre?I am now besotted with that Neue Klasse BMW. Fantastically odd looking machines.
Guest greenvanman Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 Still working for it's living - excellent!
Dead_E23 Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 Any more pictures of the S1 Land Rover? I had one virtually identical to that as my first car - apart from mine was odd-coloured and had a rubber antenna mount on the wing from when the RAF owned it. I think the one in your picture even has the (very rare) split tailgate that mine had. Was there anything unusual about the back lights?
MrRegieRitmo Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 Got yourself a Rover 200 Mr Weasel? First time I've seen this thread & what a host of goodies it contains!

The pic is from a month or so ago but I can maybe work out where I spotted it - will return in the future for more pics if possible.Cheers.
Sid Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 I think I spotted these two in Dulwich Village, the A35 was in stunning condition 2 years ago and now looks abandoned! Time for a bit of an update, hope you find something interesting in this selection:
Dead_E23 Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 That would be great, if only to see whether it has the rare tailgate. Apart from the one I had I can only remember seeing one other example. Sadly, now that I've done a DVLA check it doesn't look like that's my old S1 - the one in the picture is a 1956 88" which has managed to retain its 2 litre engine. Mine was a 1954 86" and had acquired a later 2286cc engine. All the same, I've not seen a more similarly specced Landy in the 22 years since I sold mine. I'd love to know if mine survives - it seems to have been plate raped at some point because the registration now comes up as a Saab (or something), and I fear that it might have been broken for bits or made into a trialler.[list=]
Gompo Posted March 11, 2008 Author Posted March 11, 2008 I think I spotted these two in Dulwich Village, the A35 was in stunning condition 2 years ago and now looks abandoned!Yep, in Dulwich still..
Gompo Posted April 20, 2008 Author Posted April 20, 2008 Update.. Same mixture again. Hope they're stil appreciated! Just liked the blackness on this..
Gompo Posted April 20, 2008 Author Posted April 20, 2008 ...And a few more. Poor little Fiat.. These three were all at the same set of garages.I liked the effort that had gone into this, yet the 316 badges remained..Cant help but like Porka's, even the 'undesirable' old targas. Cheers.
MrRegieRitmo Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 To my eyes the MkI Range Rover rears lights were given the same sort of subtle facelift (rearlift?) that were given to the ones on MkI Saab 900s.The harlequin Fiats are appreciated!
retrogeezer Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 Some top tat there....Shame about the 127 - looks to be a sport as a well, pretty sought after I should think, even in that condition.Black Bee-em is nice.
Guest Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 The vehicle details for HFR 955W are: Date of Liability 01 06 2006 Date of First Registration 08 04 1981 Year of Manufacture 1981 Cylinder Capacity (cc) 1049CC CO2 Emissions Not Available Fuel Type Petrol Export Marker Not Applicable Vehicle Status Unlicensed Vehicle Colour ORANGE Vehicle Type Approval null Agree it looks like a sport-but were they only 1050cc Damn shame
Gompo Posted April 20, 2008 Author Posted April 20, 2008 Agree it looks like a sport-but were they only 1050cc Damn shame Yes they were - 1050cc with 70bhp, not bad for something that size and age....According to the Autotrader Reg Check it is a 127 Sport too.

r.welfare Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 Is the Auto Trader reg check working again? It seemed to want me to pay money before divulging any info last time I looked.Anyway, cracking photos Gompo. I can't help but feel that a BM 6-series - even one a little careworn like that Highline - can ever truly be shite, but when parked outside what looks like an abandoned house I'll make an exception.
retrogeezer Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 should just add that the Starion is awesome too....
Gompo Posted October 5, 2008 Author Posted October 5, 2008 ..Thought I better update this thread before it got lost. Hopefully something of interest for all: CPTLoved this..Also had these..
