The bug looks the spit of my old NZ one, I bet its an Oz CKD built one. If you pop the badge out of the horn push the VW badge/part no should be flanked by a couple of Kangaroos. '66?

Can I be your friend too? A 66 in that condition (I'm assuming dry stored in a decent climate so only surface 'patina' instead of rusty chassis) is easily £2.5k worth over here without touching it.

this last one imported from UK in 2002..curious..must have loved it..a friend of mine brought her 1302 Karman Cabrio over from Switzerland which is understandable ..i think she got about between $8-9000 for it in the end...

whereabouts are u these days Volksy..

That last one is odd, seems to have all the most undesirable bug parts slapped on an early shell - then transported halfway round the world!I'm in the UK, and debating if its a good idea - every day!Had a good night with the punks at a squatbar on friday. Suppose this place does have its benefits..

My VW mate had a look at the Beetle this morning..brakes seized and the motor is probably to..it had been in there a decade...it will used as a parts car..sold for $100...but the hilarious thing is the FunHo toys...average value per box is over $50 x 14..im going to be watching the online auction like a mad man..think i might have my Viva back on the road in two weeks..yeehaaa...
