Hi folks, been reading the posts and admiring the spots for a while, so time to contribute some of my own. This bunch are all local to me and mostly in daily use. Soz for crappy phone photos.

First up, very straight beige Metro 1.0 auto

Are they all like this inside, or was this a special order for an orangutan?

Posted Image

A brace of Saab 9000s - must the an exec neighbourhood

Interestingly, this mossy VW has a sign in the rear window which reads 'this is not an abandoned vehicle'

Smart Sierra Ghia, preferred it with its original grey bumper to be honest but diff'rent strokes and all that

Posted Image

Smart Ovlov shooting brake

Lovely S3 XJ6, very rarely moves

BONUS: shitto di Tuscano

Piaggio Ape, a plentiful species in Florence

Posted Image

Panda 4x4, one of many still 4x4ing in the old country

Posted Image

Innocenti Austin, the good (?) old Austin 1100 built under license by a possibly even less motivated workforce

Nice spots! that beige metroid automatic must be a truly miserable driving experience  Innocenti 1100 still has it's subframes attached! the climate must be much kinder over there!

i dunno look at his rear hubcap loloh and welcome :)

welcome :) Some good spots you got there, im very much a fan of the saab 9000.Do you prefer the hatchback or saloon shape? Im very much the latter.Whereabouts in Kent are you from?

Posted

Thanks for the welcome, folks. Brammy, I live (and spotted these swish motors) in Gillingham. I thought at the time (1992-ish?) that the introduction of the Saab 9000 saloon moved it away from mere expensive family motoring and squarely into executive territory. I reckon it's a kind of sober and pragmatic alternative to some already pretty sober and pragmatic competition - BMW E34 5-series, Mercedes 230E, Audi 100.

I always thought the styling of the last audi 100s was a bit bland, Id take the Saab anyday over them.

Hello & Welcome Nervy SiThe so-called 'Management'

Welcome - I'm from Rochester and still go up there now and again to see the folks

A few more spots from over the last couple of months:

Recreate SEGA Rally, but at greater expense and considerably greater risk

Posted Image

Posted Image

Long shot of Medway's own local '53 Caddy coop. I love this old sled, often to be seen easing around town in its own special floaty, lurchy way

Posted Image

Smart looking 405 estate

Posted Image

From a nearby Jag specialist:

The photo doesn't capture just how brittle this Series 2 coupe looked. Flanked by semi-stripped Basil-40s.

Posted Image

Lovely Series 2 Daimler, gradually camouflaging itself

Posted Image

Back on the mean streets:

Not a beaded seatcover in sight

Posted Image

Posted Image

'Mind the Ford Focus C-Max, Richard!'

Posted Image

'Mind the bonus white Metro, Richard!' etc.

Posted Image

Fast Ford Fetish section

Proving that I can't take a decent photo no matter how much room is available, here's a track-sorted Mk3 Escort - full roll cage, lots of fancy gauges, the works

Posted Image

Posted Image

Difficult to get a photo of this black beauty in the gloom of my local garage. How did they make the Sierra look this slick?

Posted Image

Posted Image

Bossman's motor. I'd love one of these. This one is a 2.8i Ghia X

Posted Image

Fiesta 1.1 Populaaarrrr Plus. Lots of bare biege paintwork inside this baby

Posted Image

Spanky little Escort. Looks like a Ghia or a GL, or maybe a special edition?

Posted Image

Posted Image

Fiesta with everything painted the same colour to avoid confusion. This had a rollcage and rear discs, make of that what you will

Who do you work for, George Cowley?

Naah, I'm an aspiring pub landlord 8) And as such, I like the sound of your old Rangie 3.9 Vogue. Something else I've always fancied. Got any pics?

Sweet, looks like a nice one. The photo enthusiasts were getting excited over it, so they were!
