Steering went a bit un-assisted trying to navigate a mini roundabout somewhere is Surrey so parked and today am now en-route, using alternative transport, to GSF  Farnham to get a few bottles of LHM (using VIP60 to get 60% discount so 10 GBP a liter).

Welllll, that didn't go too well. Fed it 2L LHM and moved to a quiet residential  road with parking near a friends house. Came back a couple of days later with a few tools for sort out a few basics, someone has been inside and ransacked both the screwdriver and the Stanley knife, someone (else?) in a white vehicle has twatted the backdoor and rear wheel arch, one tyre was flat and there's no spare so got out the blocks of wood to try the self lifting trick but "STOP + low fluid" lights came on and the driver's foot well is swimming in LHM. 

At least I can walk to 'Spoons for a Sunday fry-up and pint of TEA.  On to plan B.

On the minus side there's a rusted stump where the aerial should be.
