Just flicking through my local rag here, there's a 1965 Damlier V8 250 for sale in it, it reads: auto, grey, blue hide, wire wheels, 2months mot, tax exempt, 126k £2500.Sounds bloody cheap to me for what is one of my favorite cars made, It's the Jag mk2 shape, looks really nice in the small photo of it. It might of already sold but if anyone wants the number just pm, best not to post it on here.

Could be a nice car with t.l.c. Cheaper than Jag prices and a V8 too 8)

It does look the same as that, just sounds so cheap for what it is to me.I would love it if i hadn't got my 02, which spends more time broken down then on the road...Of course it might belong to some old boy that's had it for years, thats hardly used it and is now selling it as he's giving up driving. Maybe.

the auction house family i work for have got a Mk2 3.4 stuffed away with a rebuilt not inserted motor..the bodies well ropey..the ex-missus [whose a best mate]who owns half off it wont let me photograph it until its restored..once theyve sold the historic inner city palace which is also my other fave hang out..

Oooh, a V8 250, quality!

Though I would refer you back to the (possibly apochryphal) tale in "Jalopy"...

Paraphrasing:

I imagined a car that smelled of King Edward Cigars, quality wood and leather... instead what I got was the smell of rotting timber, dead cows and king edward potatoes....

I'd much rather have the Mk2.

Mk2 R12 that is, just in front of the Daimler.

Let's not forget where we are now. :)

A lovely car, but by 'eck they can rust.Interiors are also expensive to replace. And engines too.....

I had a '63 one and loved it!. The only problem i ever had was the brakes.

Oooh, nice. Surely the Daimler is the Autoshiters choice? Despite a lovely engine, purists would rather have a Mk2 Jag, preferably with a gearbox that makes a 1940s tractor seem advanced and smooth.Does sound tempting (though I've got no cash now) but could be a right can of worms. Or, he's priced it too cheap and will get no interest purely because everyone will assume that it's a can of worms.
