Is that one of Rex McCandless' later efforts, 4288TZ? (Third pic down)

 

Quite a neat wee thing, kind of a Ginetta/Gilbern vibe off it; don't think I've seen that one out on display before (but then I haven't been around the Transport Museum at Cultra for years).

 

SD1 made of ArtStraws FTW, though.

It’s the DAWB6.

 

....and allegedly the museum does not have the keys to it, so they couldn't get it started even if they wanted to.....

A bespoke transverse flat six with the clutch in the middle. I’m sort of glad they can’t.

I've tried to get em to take the DAWB out into the light for a magazine feature for years, but they seem to have no interest.

 

Shame, because I think it's a really nicely done thing and not at all well known.

I had not heard of this creation before....Just had a very interesting covert google session at work.   I don't know what put me in awe the most - that engine or the apparently uncracked Mk3 Zodiac dash top.
