If you disconnect vac pipe from turbo actuator does it move?

I've just messaged him about that now. He said there was a code originally, something to do with the throttle but they put that down to the swirl flaps being broken.

The throttle body is only used to create fast air movement for egr

What year is it, as early ones had a black vac box on back of engine, they split and you loose vacuum, you can bypass it if it has one

It will have the vac box, if you remove the engine plastic cover you will see 2 small metal pipes than run parallel to each other and go down back of engine. On most diesels including these if you have a vac issue you have a boost issue. Check that black box, also egr was very common for sticking but you would get P2279 intake air leak detected, or P0400, or something P0100 I think whi h was masair flow code

True indeed. Not sure what he or perhaps the garage used. He confirms that it does indeed have the black box, however, the car is at the garage. You given him some good pointers
