Additional Information:

I'm selling this for my dad, it's a 2 litre T series with 5 speed manual gearbox. He's had it for 9 years and always kept it garaged. It's a quick car, looks quite smart and is very comfortable and reliable.

It has 4 electric windows, electric sunroof and mirrors and power steering.

Faults are: A scrape to the nearside rear corner, damage is mainly confined to a scratched bumper but there's some slight damage to the wheelarch. Not as bad as it sounds. Also other very minor scratches etc. from driving past bushes, driver's door handle is loose, cigarette lighter socket is loose, one of the foglight blanking plate things from the front bumper is missing.

Could do with a new tyre for the spare wheel.

The price is £595, but he wants it to be gone fairly quickly so there is room for negotiation, feel free to make an offer.

He's just bought an MX5  so this needs to go ASAP. It's a great car, I'd have it myself if I could get reasonable insurance! Now £450ish, I'd say it's worth more but not many people want Rovers at the moment. Feel free to make silly offers though, it needs to sell so you might get a bargain!

These things are great - grunty, rugged and quite thrifty engine, and improved handling over regular 400s.Any recent service history, and any oil weeping from the head gasket?

I think they're actually at the lowest price they could possibly be.

Not much recent service history, it has been regularly serviced but by my uncle so there are no 'official' records. Cambelt was changed around 10,000 miles ago. It's all very clean under the bonnet, no sign of oily HGs.

Still here...Surely it must be worth £395?

That's a bargain. Hope you manage to find it a new home!My Dad had a 414Si for years. It missed numerous services, was never washed and remained completely reliable. Good luck 8)

SOLD - For £500 through an ad in the local paper. A good result all round I think, still sad to see it go though.

Well done, and a nice motor for the buyer at the money.... 2.0 + anonymous grandad stylingmust equal a decent almost Q-car.
