Tentative shite borrow request

Yo shitters, my wifes 147 has started playing up, I reckon its injectors and it might need to be off the road for a few days to send them off to be refurbed.

 

We could probably just about manage with one car, but it would be a pain in the arse due to needing to get children to activities and so on.

 

So, does anyone have anything i could possibly borrow for a week or 2? Tentative at this stage as I've not properly diagnosed the alfa but will have more info later.

 

Don't really care what it is provided that it is legal and nominally insured so I can drive it on my driving other cars cover.

 

I'm based near Bradford but happy to travel within reason.

I have a Mégane coupe in Birmingham that you can borrow but expect that something closer to you will be offered.

I am off on hols for two weeks from sat am.

 

Missus Moog's motah will be sitting here doing nothing (except njgleeds is going to service and mot it so as long as you can arrange it with him) then you can borrow that.

 

Alternatively if you aren't doing mega miles can borrow the mx5.

Would get a child in there, and one in boot if they were squishy enough.

I will warn you it is shit on petrol (about 25mpg) as 1.6 and auto.

Cheers Rob, Clio would fit the bill nicely but I've not really got time for a collection mission from That London at the minute. 

 

Anyway I've tested the injectors as best I can and I don't think it's that, so we are going to swap cars for a few days as the thing never seems to play up when I take it out for a test. 

 

Have had the MAF suggested over on the thread formerly known as stupid question amnesty so will see how it goes with it unplugged.
