MOT exemption

Somebody far brighter than me on here managed to declare 40 year old exemption status online...but I'm damned if I can find the thread..........anyone help?

I just renewed my car tax (I was already tax exempt) and it allowed me to declare it. The tax hadn't expired when I did it either.

I taxed a car that hadnt been mot'd for 15 years and it was all accepted and automatically classed as MOT exempt.just go online and try to tax it

If your V5 states "historic vehicle", everything can be done online.

 

If not, you need to visit your local post office, bringing your V5 and a V112 form.

Appears you need the V5 to do it..can't do it on the green "new owner slip".at least I can't!
