Been a while since I downloaded photos from my phone, here is a selection of dross that I have collected throughout 2009 so far. Fatha_L must be credited for the Rolls, buses, Capri and the Victor. After mentioning this site to him, he now actually gets far better spotting opportunities than I do!

More spots by Fatha_L from his and Mum_L's holiday in Orkney.

I cant find the one I took of a tidy Nissan Bluebird, but I'm working on it.

I've just noticed the 605. It is likely that it will be one as I can remember him having a few in there before.

I visited Arran again recently and spotted a few:

Dont know what kind of tractor this is other than a Ford judging by the blue and white paint job:

These old 709d's are still rattling around Arran on 2009:

I Was trying to photograph one of several old Volvo 240's going round the island. I kept seeing an Escort Cabrolet tooling around and it obscured this pic perfectly as it passed by:

I also visited the Scottish Vintage Bus museum today. I was impressed by the turnout of vehicles, and also by the amount of cars and trucks there too. Sadly a lot of the vehicles havent been on the road for many years:

None of the above, inlcuding the AEC, had been on the road for many years. Most of the cars looked pretty tired too

However this Granada 2.8 was the exception:

A couple of banger racers were sniffing round it but were put off due to it being an auto. Good security device for owners of this and Farinas to protect them from theives such as this, fit a turd-box.

This operator is also a classic bus enthusiast:

im liking those spots. What is the story with that transporter?

Posted

It looks like the transporter is just driven out of the shed for display then driven straight back in. Its tax dics expired in 1998. I bet none of the cars have even moved off the decks for years.

Also, when you visited the LDV/Sherpa again, i bet it was like seeing an old friend :)

Posted

Yes we go back to 2000 we do! I've visited it every year but lately its been looking tired, a bit like seeing an old relative or something!

I think im starting to get like that with a Ford Scorpio thats in this village like once a week, its so nice, i just cant help myself from taking more pictures of it haha!
