FredTransit Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 I had a crap night last night, have a sniffle and a headache. Took some ibuprofen and I am getting on with it
Father Ted Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 Well wifey and I have just been confirmed as having the damn thing!Remember, whilst you are lying on the couch with your warm Vimto and watching World Of Sport your wife will be quietly doing things ready to spring the "I was just as ill as you, but I got on with it and looked after the kids" line when she is a) pissed offb) pissedc) wants a holidayd) wants something expensiveWhenever I am ill now I simply leave home and sleep round my parents in the garage and tell the wife Im on a conference / training course - its much simpler all round. Fortunatly Im not ill often.
AXrescuer Posted July 9, 2009 Author Posted July 9, 2009 I had a crap night last night, have a sniffle and a headache. Took some ibuprofen and I am getting on with it Not quite the same thing is it? I'm having to snort Ventolin through a nebuliser every 4 hours just so I can breathe properly! I wish I could just pop a couple of pills and get on with it. One would hope that you are met with a little more compassion when this thing hits you!
Guest Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 Often I turn up to work incredibly ill for weeks at a time. People don't say anything, but I reckon they admire my "getting on with it" attitude. The funny thing is that they often fall sick afterwards and they'll just throw a sickie for a couple of days - idle sods! Wish everyone was as hardworking as me. AXrescuer, I reckon you should get up off your lazy behind and get some work done - it's just a bit of a cold man! (this is a joke - hopeful of a speedy recovery so you can race around in the Pineapple Sport)
