possible spares/repairs 205 turbine-derv

Know of a 'G' reg (i think) 205 'sceptre' which snapped its belt and ceased to be. Am told it's turbo is good as is much other stuff but the engine is kaput (presumably, not sure on extent of damage). Believe its the 5 door, had about 250k on the clock and ran nicely before it didn't run nicely or at all. From memory, its not a looker but sounds like a fair trove of spares.

The actual owner might be along as i pointed him in this direction but failing that if interested can point you in the right direction.

Car is near Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, trailer access ok (with a bit of pushing).

Not sure on the price, wild guess (no actual idea) low hundreds.

If it gets broken, check to see if it's got a rev counter. The derv instrument panels with a tacho are apparently like hen's teeth.

If it's a Sceptre it wouldn't be a G plate - Sceptre was one of the run-out special editions.  Come to think of it I don't think the turbo diesels came out until 1991.  Sceptre was a fairly basic model (keep fit windows etc) so very much doubt it'll have a rev counter - that seems to be the preserve of STDTs and the like.

Might very well be a 'K', definitely turbo, definitely sceptre though. I believe its being sold as a rolling spares or repair with the idea it goes to someone who's into 205 so will get most of the worthwhile (whatever those are) bits out, unlike a breaker who may also grab the turbo and bridge the rest.
