Hmm, the thread that was evolving from a parts wanted post has vanished, so assuming it's not the case that I'm unable to start a thread...

 

Latest addition to the fold is a Rover R8 Cabriolet, specifically the ex-Kiltox grey one with red seats. Six-cylinder bought it, and MoTd it, and with a year of MoT it seemed well worth having for less than taxing a post 2006 gas guzzler. Aside from a touch of oil-looking smoke, it looks in good health, so I'll have a bit of a thread on it with pictures, assuming I'm allowed, that is...

 

If anyone's got some sunvisors, I can see those when driving it so the broken one is irritating ;)

That oily smoke only happens when it’s sat a while, in regular use it’s sound

 

 

Ah, that is a very happy bit of news - it had been driven for a decent distance and was still smokey when warm, but no other signs of maladies. I'll service the PCV system before having too many thoughts of piston rings.

 

What's the spare clutch cable in the boot - an old one, or a good spare?

No idea. I don’t remember there being one!

 

It might be from another car, this lived at my unit during my trading days. Never had any issue with anything like that I’m happy to report :)
