That's a weird looking shifter. I prefer the T-handle in my 320 automatic that you've so graciously been taking the piss out of. :P

Well done for £250 though! That looks lovely!

Late 1996 onwards shifter m8.

Had a look at this today. The PAS pump is completely fucked. The fan has lost 3 blades. Backs of both sills holed. Steering rack is clunky.

I'd say two day's swearing and £80 should sort it. I have a standard E36 rack from my track slag. Silver Hammerite on the scabby bits, sorted.

It's a runner Chaps. Will MOT it this month and run it from April. The green 318i Estate can be garaged and I'll get all the bits that need doing, done.

Someone called this an estate? Lol, it's a touring mate, like an estate but... Well... er... It's an estate.

Hey, nice weelz man. I so nearly bought that leather on the bay for mine, flip up rear booster seats??? = Special. Can't bring myself to fork out that amount for something I put my arse on. Hope it's worth the effort saving it. When these came out, admittedly, I hated the sight of them... Where did the trademark round lenses go? Felt like BMW was loosing it's identity but it's taken some time and now to me, the E36 seems to have something about it... those classic edges have aged really well and the prices have long bottomed out- the only way is up.

Buy one today, highly useable vehicle, I rag mine daily but this morning it got spat at by an A5 TDI estate which was embarrassing, don't know what injin they have but the 20y old 1.8 tried to keep with it, then I stopped before we got into licence loosing speeds. At least it had a go. Makes me proud it does.

Do you have the cd changer in the back of the newly acquired machine?

These E36 Tourings properly make me hnnng, I did look at a couple before I landed the 850TDi but they were all either completely yagged or 4-pot autos

Not sure but don't think so.

Touring young Man, Touring.

Did you get your 318i running? I was going to PM you.

Ah yes, I did get the 3er sorted cheers! Turned out to be cold battery that just failed, also, I managed to not put enough anti-freeze in it, I'd watered down the mix a bit too much. Used it for a few days (it also was used in a photo-training exercise) and now it's parked back up ready to go out again.

Fuck me, it only passed an MOT test of roadworrthiness today. Tax the bastard from

April yo.

MOT'd at Kwikfit near my place.

No favours for sailors there but the tester is a sound guy . Advised on a rusty front brake pipe and a tired rear number plate. The latter can FRO but I shall replace the brake pipe, whiz it round and show him. That sort of thing goes a long way.

It's a two way thing with testers; find a good one, don't take the piss.
