carlo Posted January 28, 2018 Posted January 28, 2018 Not often I have all of the fleet in the same place as today, thought it must be worth a picture or two! brownnova, D Spares & Tyres, Dick Cheeseburger and 25 others 28
Sloth in a bowl Posted January 28, 2018 Posted January 28, 2018 Well that's a calendar shot if ever there was one. Squire_Dawson, Junkman and chaseracer 3
carlo Posted January 28, 2018 Author Posted January 28, 2018 I'm afraid he is a bit sad, has had a few of his vital organs donated to keep the other two running, and is a non-runner now. Shame in a way as the bodywork on that one was probably the best of the three. Jim Bell 1
mk2_craig Posted January 28, 2018 Posted January 28, 2018 Nice to see them Carlo! Remarkably robust and long-lasting motor cars.
chaseracer Posted January 28, 2018 Posted January 28, 2018 Well that's a calendar shot if ever there was one. COVER... HMC 1
HMC Posted January 28, 2018 Posted January 28, 2018 Great pics! All late saloons and 2 Coventry reg'd (-wk and -rw) I wonder if any of those were Ryton company vehicles or some sort of HQ pre reg to boost sales stats?
carlo Posted January 28, 2018 Author Posted January 28, 2018 Yes I was selling them in the nineties and there were plenty of Coventry registered demos around, despite the cars still being popular even up to their demise in 1996. Diesels were obviously more prolific but there were quite a few 2.0 autos around, like my three. Think the UKL car is Surrey registered, came from Walchry Motors originally. I also remember Peugeot having a fantastic salesman promotion for selling 405s, for each one you sold you got a scratchcard with M & S vouchers from all denominations of £10 to £100! I was in fleet sales and sold loads of the things, and ended up with some very nice M & S suits! Brodders, Shep Shepherd, HMC and 1 other 4
DodgyBastard Posted January 28, 2018 Posted January 28, 2018 I see your 405 x 3 and raise you 305 x 4... DSC_0207 by srblythe, on Flickr DSC_0201 by srblythe, on Flickr DSC_0205 by srblythe, on Flickr chaseracer, Squire_Dawson, Junkman and 2 others 5
Junkman Posted January 28, 2018 Posted January 28, 2018 Besides, 3x405 is merely five less than 4x305. chaseracer 1
chaseracer Posted January 28, 2018 Posted January 28, 2018 That's shite arithmetic, that is. clayts450, Junkman, Stanky and 1 other 4

carlo Posted January 28, 2018 Author Posted January 28, 2018 DISLIKE. I really wanted to win that roffle. Actually that's slightly harsh, it's only a few engine/piping ancillaries. Can't afford to keep all three running unfortunately, and still a bit unsure what to do with the silver STI. Watch this space... Ghosty and chaseracer 2
carlo Posted January 28, 2018 Author Posted January 28, 2018 I'm thinking about it. It needs using and is not getting used enough, but is a good spare car. Don't like making decisions.
406V6 Posted January 29, 2018 Posted January 29, 2018 Great pics! All late saloons and 2 Coventry reg'd (-wk and -rw) I wonder if any of those were Ryton company vehicles or some sort of HQ pre reg to boost sales stats?I had a couple of 405 hire cars during the K reg period while waiting for a new company car to be delivered and they were KV registered (Coventry).
