Wow you’ve been busy! Some of the older BMWs in the last few posts look so lovely and elegant, you can see why people used to aspire to them. The red  Cav & 5 series back to back a few posts back really show the difference between what you/your Dad wanted vs ended up with in the early 80s.

My friend at Uni had 2 Ro80s, he was doing the best one up with his dad and the other was a running spares donor. When they had finished it I got to have a drive of it. Fantastic things, beautifully bonkers but well thought out. Probably the last era where there were cars  that were significantly different from what else was about. Bit sad how it all ended for NSU but glad they exist!

The last Ro80 I saw in the wild was a maroon one in Brixton about 10 years ago, with the young woman driver looking suitably bohemian.

I'm just waiting patiently for @Skizzer to buy one so I can have a go in his.

He has form, apparently the LR had sat for 12 years by the time of this 1994 photo.
