110v box is worth £25 if it's 3kva - the last new one I had was £54 inc vat

Air tools brand name stuff will cost the same to refurbish as buying several no name ones which will by and large do the same.

 

Are you having to deal with probate? If so I can recommend the Which? £180 Service that has copies of all the paperwork you need (this is free anyway from the government) but more importantly a helpline to call and get advice from.

We've used CO-OP legal and they're absolutely useless and cost 10k so far they have dragged a simple matter for almost 2 years...

If that lathe is still in working order, I could probably give it a home. Although it was used for woodworking, it might be suitable for metal working - just as well, as I have an interest in model engineering.

 

Same goes for the pillar drill.
