Event Japan Classic Sunday 2018 - 1st July

This is a great one day event. I did it in 2008 and also this year and have now vowed to do it each year running. Le Mans Classic is the weekend after this so if you are feeling ambitious why not do both like I will be doing? I will probably be going to Amsterdam for a few days before JCS as it's pretty much my fave European city.

 

Just got to find a suitable Japanese classic estate now..... Still got a few months yet to find one

I would say S-MX as its pretty quirky and rare but the chance of you still having it next year are slim, though it has lasted this long.....

Ok, I have a problem here - the problem is that I need to be at Japfest Donington on the Saturday. I did try to avoid the clash, but sites are available when they're available I guess.

 

A quick Google suggests it's 433 miles between the two events, though naturally that does include a boat. Would it be utterly ridiculous to try and overnight it from one to the other? Yes, yes it would. Especially as I'll be starting at 6am at Donington. I may need a co-driver for this one, but it's a ridiculous plan that I very much like the look of.

Sounds perfectly reasonable to me I did it this year in a weekend and 1000 miles round trip driving solo. Using the Chunnel rather than the ferry would make it a quicker affair but cost a bit more.

Bumpity bump all you JDM lovers take note I wouldn't bother driving hundreds of miles for a one day show if it ain't worth it Sure the "coffee" is part of it but SL are the cars and people

Planning to get the ferry booked after next pay day. My plan of two shows in one weekend, in two different countries still stands. Ratdat will be at JCS.

The extent of 'deliberate posing in a minority interest Jap car', for ToMM© in 2018, will be cruising along Whitley Bay seafront, should a Sunny Sunday occur

I have now booked the ferry for this. I'm in for one heck of a summer! Have provisionally booked the Honda for the trip, though July seems a long way off at the moment...

 

Will be at Japfest Donington the day before if anyone else fancies the crazy roadtrip plan.
