That's a shame.

 

On the plus side it's not a particularly bad engine to do a head gasket change on as I recall, mostly just a bit of a faff to get everything out of the way beforehand. Getting the manifold to turbo joint apart is probably the single worst step involved, equally getting that joint to seal again afterwards.

 

Should have a bit more room to play with and less faff in the way than on a Xantia at least.

 

Has to be worth doing though given the general condition of the car I'd think. Probably a good time to do any other jobs that might be on the to do list that need access to the back of the engine while you have stuff in bits.

 

They're very much on the list of cars I'd love to have, but am too afraid to buy. That bit of my brain tries to run away screaming every time it realises that there's an Activa on the drive...
