I've had good service from Lidl drills, I think they're made by Einhell and not Chinese. Cordless want using regularly-ish, left unused / batteries going flat is a big killer.

Titan 18v from Screwfix

Second that, just bought one. Battery lasts ages, really good quality as well. Plenty of torque as well, drives 75mm deck screws in piece of piss all day.

Only about £50 and you get two batteries, charges up in 30 mins

Dewalt, Mikita or small AEG all get used everyday. Batteries hate cold and being left to discharge.

Parkside from Lidl are made by several firms Einhel is one of them, lidl offer 3 years warranty, if you buy it elsewhere it's just a year.

Highly reccomend the Mikita LXT range, Exellent battery life even after more than 2 years of ownership.

Plus point is that  batteries are interchangable in the LXT range so if in the future you want to expand to a cordless grinder / saw then the batteries are interchangable.

Another vote for titan. Don't buy something that's too cheap as will be false economy and a bit crap. In my experience the titan range are great value for money and well made.

I use Erbacher also from Screwfix have found them better than equivalent titan....very tough and loads of torque...

I've had them too. Either of these makes are a good bet.

I got one of those from B and Q for 20 odd quid a month or so ago, amazing value. Not used it in anger yet.
