Recovery firms that cover a car trailer?

Autoaid doesn't for some reason - nothing over 3m in length unless it's a caravan.

 

Any others and likely yearly cost please?

The AA say this on the matter

 

Your vehicle must less than 3.5 tonnes (3,500kg) and no wider than 7ft 6in (2.3m). This also applies to any caravans and trailers that are being towed.

So I would presume a car trailer would be within those specs. Cover likely to be about 100 quid as a new member with a hefty increase on that next renewal, which can be immediately negotiated back down again with a quick phone call...

First call cover trailers, but their rules seem to have changed this year so vans must have a (4 times the price) commercial policy even if you don't want business use.

AA do, have used them. Car trailer and a Caravan. ( someone may ask how I tow a caravan with a car trailer).

RAC do as well. RAC around £100 Rescue/Recovery personal membership. They now want £111 to renew mine, it always goes up.

Can play the price between them.

Check permitted length of Tow vehicle and length of trailer.

Our tranny van is 6" too long for one of them, not sure which, but doubt they would measure it.

Green flag do as well but there may be an age limit on the tow vehicle.
